Laureus World Sports Awards 2018

It was that time of year to pack a dinner suit and running shoes for the Laureus World Sports Awards in Monaco.
The Opus team attended the event and captured more portraits and interviews with Laureus members for the forthcoming Laureus Opus. Tennis greats, Martina Navratilova, Monica Seles and Boris Becker all spent time in the Opus Studio at the Hermitage Hotel to share stories of who their inspirational heroes were growing up, the challenges they faced as athletes and the advice they would pass on to their younger selves if they had the opportunity. More signatures were added to the Laureus Opus signature page that is adorned with the personal signatures of nearly 50 sporting icons from all over the world.
The temporary Opus studio seemed to transform into a meeting place where old friendships were renewed as former Juventus and Italian legend Alessandro Del Piero welcomed new Laureus member for 2018, the Man United legend and current Wales manager, Ryan Giggs.
The Official Laureus Opus celebrates the spirit of sporting greatness and the inspiration that sport brings to individuals and community in all walks of life.
The forthcoming Opus will be 850 pages, measuring 20 x 20 inches (50 cm x 50 cm) and will be available in two special editions including a limited edition Marquee edition of 150 copies signed by 56 Laureus Academy Members.
