Fans jumped out of their seats as Harrison crashed to the floor at Wembley Arena. The joy on Michael Sprott’s face lit up the arena when he realised late in the third that he had not only stopped Harrison but had proven himself to be a true British contender for a heavyweight title.

The fighting spirit of the Brit was unquestionable as he traded blow after blow with Australia’s Michael Katsidis before Earl’s corner threw in the towel.
