It was a moment to savour: 30 of the most famous – and infamous – faces from the world of F1 gathered together to be photographed by the world’s biggest Polaroid camera. All in aid of the mammoth project that is F1 Opus. The mission? To capture the excitement, glamour and danger of Grand Prix racing in truly spectacular style and on a scale never achieved before.

F1 Polaroids

Gathered together in the drivers briefing room at Silverstone before the recent British Grand Prix was a who’s who of the last 50 years of Grand Prix racing. Thanks to its superb quality, the camera records every detail, every blemish, every pore on some of the most recognisable faces of the last 50 years of F1 from Sir Jack Brabham to Fernando Alonso. These faces tell a thousand stories, and it is this unique access to the giants of the sport that will ensure the F1 Opus will be the ultimate tribute to the excitement, danger, glamour and adrenaline that is Formula 1.
