The Journey To Makkah Opus Indian Edition was announced during an impressive pre-launch function by Prince Turki Bin Faisal Al Saud of Saudi Arabia in New Delhi. Accompanied by Karl Fowler, Opus CEO, the two spoke of the Opus as a wonderful format to celebrate the Haj pilgrimage from the time of Ibn Battuta to present day.

The collaboration between institutions, scholars and pilgrims around the world have contributed to making this Opus one of the greatest tributes to the Haj pilgrimage. The special unseen content from King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies is one such example of the access the Opus has been privileged to showcase in the first Opus in the genre of faith.

Karl Fowler marked the occasion by presenting Prince Turki with the Journey to Makkah Mosaic. This is a specially commissioned piece of contemporary art by artist Genna Wise, that captured the magnitude of the Haj pilgrimage. The expression and kind words from Prince left him with the thought of where best to display this wonderful gift.
