The Queen is Head of State of 16 Commonwealth realms, including the United Kingdom, and Head of the Commonwealth itself which comprises 54 countries across the globe.
On her 21st birthday, The Queen memorably gave a speech to the people of the Commonwealth by declaring that her "whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be dedicated to your service and to the service of the great Imperial family to which we all belong". The Commonwealth has remained as important to her throughout her reign.
Opus is proud to be able to support The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust and has pledged to auction the first edition of The Diamond Jubilee Opus with proceeds benefiting this pan-Commonwealth charity.
The highly-prized Number One copy will be one of the 60 Diamond Editions created in association with Garrard and will feature a specially-chosen flawless diamond on the cover of the Opus. Garrard will display this most special of editions at their Albemarle Street showroom in London later in the year.
The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust was established by the Commonwealth Heads of Government at their meeting in Perth last October, in honour of Her Majesty The Queen’s remarkable sixty years as Monarch.
