Opus has partnered with renowned British photographer John Swannell to create the special Portrait Edition of The Diamond Jubilee Opus. Restricted to just 100 copies within the strictly limited run of the Marquee Edition, the Portrait Edition includes a signed art print of the Official Diamond Jubilee Portrait commissioned by Buckingham Palace and taken by John Swannell.
The portrait was taken in the Centre Room of Buckingham Palace, just inside from the balcony where many of the famous royal moments have been celebrated in front of the crowds waiting in the Mall. The Queen wears state dress and the State Diadem Crown, worn on occasions such as the State Opening of Parliament and featured on the British stamps. The necklace was worn by Queen Victoria on her own Diamond Jubilee, and fittingly the Queen Victoria memorial is seen in the background - a reminder that Queen Elizabeth II is only the second monarch after her great-great-grandmother to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee.
John Swannell is considered one of the leading British photographers of our time, and has photographed many of the senior members of the Royal Family. His signed prints are highly sought after by collectors around the world.
